Herbst Kinsky advised GENERA Printer GmbH regarding the participation of Stratasys Solutions Limited – a subsidiary of Israeli Stratasys Ltd – in the company. Stratasys Ltd is a worldwide leading provider of solutions, materials and services for 3D printing and additive manufacturing. The parties have agreed not to disclose the amount of the investment and the transaction volume.

With Stratasys Ltd, Austrian GENERA Printer is bringing a market player on board to accelerate the development and growth of industrial additive manufacturing of polymers. The investment by Stratasys will help GENERA to implement the company’s development roadmap and bring its innovative automated workflow solution to market. GENERA aims to deliver the future of industrial DLP 3D printing and with it a reliable, clean and fast production process that is automated and easy to use.

Despite the COVID-19 pandemic, the GENERA team has managed to complete the development of their first industrial-scale 3D printing system, bringing the G2/F2 system to market and thus building a strong customer base. In addition, partnerships have been established with material suppliers such as Henkel, BASF and Arkema to fully leverage the open material platform and offer customers the best solution.

Dr. Klaus Stadlmann, founder and managing partner of GENERA about Herbst Kinsky: “As the founder of GENERA, I have experienced many years of successful cooperation with the Herbst Kinsky, and in particular with Mr. Philipp Kinsky. A transaction such as the one we recently completed together requires not only know-how and good preparation, but above all an open and personal consulting phase. During this time, the founder’s ideas and goals must be clearly defined together with the consulting team. This personal consultation combined with strategic negotiation and profound legal advice throughout the entire process are the clear strengths of Philipp Kinsky’s team. The intensive personal cooperation with Mr. Philipp Herold and Georg Durstberger, both an essential part of the transaction, was extremely professional, helpful, effective and valuable“.

Innovation is also what drives us. Supporting a young and emerging company like GENERA in its expansion is therefore a particular pleasure for us. However, the entry of international strategists also causes a higher complexity of the transaction, which requires special foresight and an understanding of the industry and the ambitions of the founding team,” says Philipp Kinsky, partner at Herbst Kinsky Attorneys at Law.

Herbst Kinsky’s transaction team was led by Philipp Kinsky supported by Philipp Herold and Georg Durstberger.
