Herbst Kinsky advised the Berlin based VC company Project A as a new investor, as well as the existing investor, Munich-based Senovo Capital, in the course of the USD 12 million Series A financing round of Anyline GmbH. Further investors included renowned investors as PUSH Ventures, Bernhard Nieser, Hansi Hansmann, Hermann Hauser and the Gernot Langes-Swarovski Foundation.

Founded in 2013 in Vienna, the startup Anyline has established itself as the market leader in the field of mobile text recognition. Using the latest and most innovative approaches to artificial intelligence, Anyline enables any mobile device to process written characters in real time, even when it is offline. It is not only more accurate than manual data entry, but also works 20 times faster. Anyline already works with companies such as PepsiCo and Toyota, as well as national governments.

With the founding of a US subsidiary and the opening of a US headquarters in Boston, Anyline has taken the first steps towards US expansion, which is to be continued with the new funds.

In this investment we see another strong push for the Austrian tech scene. Anyline is certainly one of the most exciting technical scale-ups in Europe at present. The fact that we have been chosen by Project A and Senovo as their lawyer and advisor confirms our expertise in the tech sector and makes us particularly happy“, says Philipp Kinsky, Partner at Herbst Kinsky.

Herbst Kinsky´s transaction team was led by Philipp Kinsky with support from Georg Durstberger. Schnittker Möllmann Partners (SMP) worked for the investors with a team from Berlin led by Frederik Gärtner. Anyline GmbH was represented by Brandl Talos (Roman Rericha).
