Herbst Kinsky advises HYDROGRID GmbH in the course of its EUR 8.5 million Series A financing round with neo investors INVEN Capital and Karma Ventures in the lead and existing investors CNB Capital and SET Ventures.

Founded in 2016, energy startup HYDROGRID offers automated IoT software for the optimal planning & scheduling of hydropower plants in real time. HYDROGRIDS’s SaaS solution for optimal production planning and scheduling 365 days a year enables power plant owners to increase their revenues by up to 16% by aligning their production with electricity markets while reducing daily workload. The company has set itself the goal of saving more than 50 million tonnes of CO2 by 2033.

This funding will allow HYDROGRID to further accelerate its rapid growth trajectory of recent years, expand into new markets and enable a successful transition to a carbon-free future.

It was great to once again have Herbst Kinsky by our side as our trusted legal advisory for the transaction, Janice Goodenough, CEO Hydrogrid.

The transaction was led by Philipp Kinsky with support from Angelika Kurz and Barbara Ring.
