Herbst Kinsky advised Ardian on the acquisition of GBA
Together with Sidley Austin, Munich Herbst Kinsky advised the investment company Ardian on the acquisition of a majority stake in the laboratory analyst GBA Group. In addition, the management of GBA and the previous shareholder Quadriga Capital participated in the acquisition. The parties have agreed not to disclose the volume of the transaction. The transaction is still subject to the approval by the antitrust authorities.
GBA Group, founded in 1989 and headquartered in Hamburg, Germany, combines a network of analytical and related service companies for customers in the food, environmental and pharmaceutical industries. As one of the leading laboratory and consulting service providers in Germany, the internationally active company is represented at 10 locations in Germany and employs more than 430 people on 15,000 m2 of laboratory space.
