Herbst Kinsky advises the Viennese Fin-Tech start-up fiskaly GmbH on the entry of the Norwegian private equity fund Verdane. The closing of the transaction is subject to the fulfilment of certain conditions precedent.

Founded in Vienna in 2019, fiskaly has set itself the goal of simplifying legally compliant fiscalisation, enabling a paperless alternative with digital receipts and thus specialising in cloud-based innovations in the field of fiscalisation throughout Europe. The leading product fiskaly SIGN offers API-driven fiscal code generation and validation services in compliance with country-specific laws. fiskaly is headquartered in Vienna, Austria, with subsidiaries in Germany, Spain and Italy.

Verdane is a Norwegian private equity fund, specialised in growth investment and partnering with tech-enabled and sustainable European businesses. Verdane funds hold over EUR 6bln in total commitments and have made over 300 investments in fast-growing businesses since 2003. The firm’s team of over 140 investment professionals and experts is based out of Berlin, Munich, Copenhagen, Helsinki, London, Oslo and Stockholm.
