Equality also in the legal profession – “Eldorad”’ sought and hopefully found for all in the near future
Our partner Sonja Hebenstreit on her experiences in the current issue of JUVE Verlag in the course of the article “Raus aus den starren Strukturen” (Out of the rigid structures)
Small take-aways
👉🏼 the number of law students is decreasing
🔎 there are still too few female associates in relation to the number of students
💡Many female assoiates leave the legal profession after the bar exam for fear of a lack of compatibility between family and career
Upsides from Sonja Hebenstreit’s point of view
👍🏽 flexibility in the job through self-employment
👍🏽 still lots of room for improvement, but the chamber system is improving
👍🏽 assumption of costs by the employer (such as reduced contributions to the pay-as-you-go system), as with Herbst Kinsky
“We don’t want to lose experienced people with whom we have worked well for years, and not just because we have invested many years in their education. “
