Dr. Felix Kernbichler, LL.M. (Harvard), studied law at the University of Vienna in six semesters and won the national Moot Court in Civil Law with his team. He went on to work as an assistant professor at the Institute for Civil Law at the University of Vienna. After a research stay at the University of California, Berkeley School of Law, he received an LL.M. degree from Harvard Law School.

For his dissertation on contracts in insolvency at the University of Vienna, he received a PhD Scholarship from the Austrian Academy of Sciences and was awarded several academic prizes. While working on his PhD thesis, he founded a Law Clinic in Vienna based on American role models and established it at the University of Vienna. He is now director of the Law Clinic at the University of Vienna and heads the division focused on advising startups.

Felix Kernbichler has spent his entire time as an associate at Herbst Kinsky and advised startups in all stages from the foundation to financing rounds until the exit in the past few years. In addition to national and international venture capital and M&A transactions, he is also specialized in advising on restructurings and insolvency related issues. Furthermore, he is the author of numerous professional publications.
